CVE-2023-23562

Unauthorized global parameter changes via console access bypass

Published May 31, 2023 · Updated Jan 10, 2025

Incorrect access control in Stormshield Endpoint Security 2.3.0 through 2.3.2 allows remote authenticated users to modify global parameters. The SES Evolution server accepts global-parameter changes from a locally installed console without enforcing the applicative profile's intended authorization. Any authenticated SES account, regardless of applicative profile, can reach the operation; unauthorized changes can interrupt application availability.
