CVE-2023-23560Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via unchecked WS-Print callbacks

Published Jan 23, 2023 · Updated Apr 2, 2025

Server-side request forgery in the Web Services feature of Lexmark devices allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. The WS-Print SOAP service on TCP port 65002 accepts an attacker-controlled callback address without validating its destination, allowing requests to internal device services. No authentication or user interaction is required; the published chain reaches root code execution by combining the callback with file-upload, internal file-copy, and command-injection primitives.
