Authenticated command execution via unchecked username
Published Jul 6, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
OS command injection in Milesight UR32L 32.3.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through the router console. The ys_thirdparty user_delete path inserts an unchecked username into a userpermit.sh command string and passes it to popen(). Administrative console privileges and network access to Telnet or SSH are required; injected commands run on the router, and the published proof of concept reboots it.
