CVE-2023-2355

Local privilege escalation via DLL search-path hijacking

Published Apr 27, 2023 · Updated Jan 30, 2025

DLL hijacking in Acronis Snap Deploy before build 3900 allows local users to elevate privileges by loading a malicious library. Acronis identifies an uncontrolled DLL search path but has not published the affected executable, searched filename, writable directory, or triggering action. Exploitation requires low local privileges and user interaction, and successful loading executes attacker-supplied code with the product component's elevated rights.
