Wrong email quotation via incorrect draft state
Published Feb 27, 2023 · Updated Mar 11, 2025
Logic error in Apple Mail Drafts before iOS 15.7.3, iPadOS 15.7.3, and macOS 13.2 allows local users to quote the wrong email. Mail Drafts keeps incorrect message state during Exchange forwarding and selects another email as the quoted original. Reachability requires user interaction with forwarding from an Exchange account, and the bounded consequence is unintended quoted content in the draft.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
