Sensitive information disclosure via browser stack traces
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Information disclosure in IBM Cognos Controller 10.4.1, 10.4.2, and 11.0.0 allows remote attackers to read sensitive data via browser-rendered stack traces. The web error-handling path returns an internal stack trace in the browser instead of suppressing diagnostic details. No authentication or user interaction is required, but triggering the disclosure has high complexity and affects confidentiality only.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
