Unauthenticated code execution via crafted RK512 commands
Published Feb 20, 2023 · Updated Mar 18, 2025
Missing authentication in SICK FX0-GENT v3 firmware 3.04 and 3.05 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through RK512. The TCP port 9000 listener accepts malicious RK512 configuration commands without authenticating the sender. Network reachability to the exposed listener is sufficient; exploitation can permanently interrupt the gateway or alter its execution.
