Improper signature verification in HONOR 50 firmware 7.0.0.138 through 7.0.0.156 allows local users to replace a system file with a forgery. HONOR identifies the locus only as signature management and has not disclosed the affected component, validation path, or incorrect verification operation. Exploitation requires local device access and leaves the affected system file replaced by attacker-supplied content.
