Session theft via unencoded Website Settings names
Published Apr 27, 2023 · Updated Jan 31, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Pimcore before 10.5.21 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in another administrator's browser. The WebsiteSetting::setName method stores the name verbatim, and the administration grid renders it without HTML encoding. An authenticated administrator must save a crafted name and another administrator must view it; the script can read session cookies or redirect the page.
