Browser script execution via unencoded login error
Published Apr 27, 2023 · Updated Jan 31, 2025
Reflected XSS in Pimcore before 10.5.21 allows remote attackers to run script in an administrator's browser via a crafted login request. LoginController.php copies the unauthenticated too_many_attempts query value into the login error parameter without HTML encoding, and the login view renders that value. A victim must open the crafted request; executed script can read session data or modify the displayed page in that victim's Pimcore origin.
