Database compromise via unquoted selectedIds filter
Published Apr 27, 2023 · Updated Feb 3, 2025
SQL injection in Pimcore before 10.5.21 allows remote authenticated users to read or alter database data through the AssetController. The downloadAsZipAddFilesAction splits the selectedIds request value and concatenates each unquoted element into an SQL IN clause. A privileged Pimcore backend session is required; successful injection can dump or alter data or interrupt database service.
