Improper input validation in affected Microsoft SQL Server ODBC and OLE DB drivers allows attackers to execute code after user interaction. The drivers fail to safely validate metadata received from an untrusted SQL Server, but Microsoft has not identified the affected parser or exact malformed field. Exploitation requires a user to direct a driver connection to an untrusted server; successful code runs in the calling application's security context.
