Authenticated file read via asset import traversal
Published Apr 27, 2023 · Updated Jan 31, 2025
Path traversal in Pimcore before 10.5.21 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files through asset import. The importServerFilesAction endpoint accepts a user-controlled server path without confining it to an allowed directory and previously performed no administrator authorization check. A valid backend session is required; exposure is limited to files readable by the Pimcore process.
