CVE-2023-23314Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via traversal-assisted SSH key upload

Published Jan 23, 2023 · Updated Apr 2, 2025

Arbitrary file upload in zdir 3.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code by placing an SSH authorized_keys file. The Mkdir handler accepts parent-directory traversal in its path parameter, while the Upload handler's path check accepts /../ and saves the submitted filename unchanged. Valid login credentials and SSH reachability are required; the planted key grants shell access as the account running zdir.
