Admin-session script execution via unescaped code parameter
Published Jul 4, 2023 · Updated Nov 26, 2024
Reflected XSS in CF7 Google Sheets Connector before 5.0.2 and its Pro edition through 5.0.2 allows remote attackers to run script via code. The affected admin configuration page writes the code parameter into an HTML attribute without escaping, turning an injected event handler into active markup. Execution requires a high-privilege WordPress user to open the crafted admin URL; the Pro variant also requires an existing Google token.
