Browser-script execution via unescaped stored product data
Published Feb 7, 2023 · Updated Mar 25, 2025
Stored XSS in SourceCodester Simple Sales Management System 1.0 allows attackers to execute browser scripts through malicious product data. The product controller saves the complete POST body, while print.php and the order form embed product_name and product_price in HTML without output encoding. Product management requires valid application credentials, and the payload executes only when a victim opens a receipt or order form containing the stored data.
