Cross-site scripting via unneutralized writer parameter
Published Jan 20, 2023 · Updated Apr 3, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Book Store Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute scripts via the writer parameter. The /bsms_ci/index.php/book endpoint places the crafted writer value into generated HTML without neutralizing active markup. A victim must load the affected book page for the injected script to run in that user's browser, enabling reads or changes within the application's origin.
