Stored XSS via unescaped email setting
Published Jun 3, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in vcita Contact Form and Calls To Action 2.6.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via email. The vcita-callback.php settings endpoint writes email input to the WordPress database without validation, then renders it without output escaping. Contributor-level edit_posts capability is sufficient; the stored script executes when a user opens the plugin settings page.
