Stored script execution via unneutralized store fields
Published Jan 20, 2023 · Updated Apr 3, 2025
Stored XSS in InventorySystem allows remote attackers to execute script in another user's browser through crafted store fields. The Stores update function copies edit_store_name and edit_active POST values into the database without neutralization, and fetchStoresDataById returns the stored values as JSON. Exploitation requires a user to load a view that renders the malicious stored value, enabling script execution in that user's browser context.
