Browser script execution via unencoded filter_product output
Published Feb 7, 2023 · Updated Mar 25, 2025
Reflected cross-site scripting in InvoicePlane 1.6 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user’s browser via filter_product. The products Ajax controller reads filter_product from the query string and passes it to modal_product_lookups.php, which echoes the value without output encoding. A user must open the crafted request; the script executes in the InvoicePlane origin and can read or alter data available to that browser session.
