Stored XSS via unescaped language and translation fields
Published Jan 20, 2023 · Updated Apr 3, 2025
Stored XSS in Ecommerce-CodeIgniter-Bootstrap allows attackers to execute script in a user's browser through crafted stored fields. The add_product.php vendor view inserts database-backed language abbreviations, names, flag values, and translated product fields into HTML without context-appropriate encoding. Execution requires a user to load the affected vendor product page; injected script runs within that user's application session.
