Stored script execution via unfiltered profile email
Published Feb 3, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in JFinal CMS 5.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary scripts in another user's browser. The profile update path stores the email parameter without filtering, and later profile views render the value as active HTML. Public self-registration permits a normal account to save the payload, while execution requires another user, including an administrator, to open the attacker's profile.
