CVE-2023-22952Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated PHP code execution via unchecked sessions

Published Jan 11, 2023 · Updated Oct 21, 2025

Code injection in SugarCRM before 12.0 Hotfix 91155 allows remote attackers to execute PHP code through crafted EmailTemplates requests. The loadUser() method in include/MVC/SugarApplication.php fails to reject sessions with login errors, letting EmailTemplates AttachFiles place executable PHP in /cache/images/. No account is required, SugarIdentity-enabled instances are not exploitable, and execution requires the web server to permit the uploaded extension.
