Administrative REST access via readable internal token
Published Apr 13, 2023 · Updated Feb 7, 2025
Authentication bypass in TigerGraph Enterprise Free Edition 3.x allows attackers to gain REST API administrator access with an internal token. The product stores a privileged internal-system token in a readable configuration file and accepts it across every REST API endpoint. Exploitation requires access sufficient to read that file; the token grants anonymous administrative control over REST API operations.
