Persistent XSS via Base64-image error message

Stored XSS in a View in Splunk Enterprise 9.0.0 through 9.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The View renders an error message derived from a Base64-encoded image without neutralizing script-capable content. Splunk Web must be enabled, and a higher-privileged user must open the crafted request; Splunk Cloud Platform before 9.0.2209.3 is also affected.
