Webserver private-key exposure via overbroad host distribution
Published Jan 17, 2023 · Updated Apr 4, 2025
Information disclosure in IBM QRadar SIEM 7.4 and 7.5 allows local users on managed hosts to read the web interface private key. The deployment process copies /etc/httpd/conf/certs/cert.key from the console to flow collectors, event collectors, and other managed hosts that do not need it. Exposure requires direct access to a managed host, an arrangement IBM says is not intended, and enables access to the TLS webserver key within the deployment.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
