CVE-2023-22874

Client denial of service via configuration file processing

Published May 5, 2023 · Updated Jan 29, 2025

Denial of service in IBM MQ Clients 9.2 CD, 9.3 CD, and 9.3 LTS allows local users to interrupt a client through configuration-file processing. IBM has not disclosed which parser or configuration value performs the resource-consuming operation during file processing. Exploitation requires user interaction that causes the Standard Client to process the configuration file, and the documented consequence is limited to loss of client availability.
