Information disclosure via scheme-less URLs defaulting to HTTP
Published Jan 18, 2023 · Updated Apr 3, 2025
Cleartext transmission in IBM Robotic Process Automation 20.12.0 through 21.0.2 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read sensitive data. Affected RPA commands treat a URL without an explicit scheme as HTTP rather than HTTPS, sending command traffic without transport encryption. Exploitation requires a scheme-less command URL and an attacker positioned on its network path; IBM reports disclosure only.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
