Unprotected credential transport in IBM Aspera Connect 4.2.5 and IBM Aspera Cargo 4.2.5 allows remote attackers to intercept credentials. IBM has not disclosed the protocol, request path, or code locus that sends the credentials without adequate transport protection. Exploitation requires network access to the credential exchange and yields credential disclosure without reported data modification or service interruption.
