Admin code execution via unsafe XML deserialization
Published Jan 14, 2023 · Updated Apr 4, 2025
PHP object injection in Tiki before 24.2 allows remote authenticated users with importer privileges to execute arbitrary PHP code. The WordPress blog importer reads attacker-controlled post metadata from an uploaded XML file and passes the value directly to PHP's unserialize() function. Successful exploitation requires the tiki_p_admin_importer permission and permits code execution in the server application's context.
