Settings modification via missing ajax_switch_db nonce validation
Published Jun 9, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Melapress WP Activity Log Premium 4.5.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to change plugin settings. The ajax_switch_db AJAX handler accepts a forged administrator request without correctly validating a WordPress nonce before switching database settings. An administrator must interact with attacker-controlled content while authenticated; the resulting request changes the plugin configuration.
