CVE-2023-22844Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated web access via static JWT keys

Published Jul 6, 2023 · Updated Mar 5, 2025

Authentication bypass in Milesight MilesightVPN 2.0.2 allows remote attackers to forge JWTs and access the web interface. The verifyToken path trusts tokens signed with public and private keys that remain static in the installation directory instead of being generated during installation. Network access alone is sufficient, and the resulting access is limited to the application privileges represented by the forged token.
