CVE-2023-22812Network attack vector

Data interception and tampering via deprecated TLS

Published Mar 24, 2023 · Updated Feb 19, 2025

Use of deprecated TLS in SanDisk PrivateAccess before 6.4.9 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read and alter network transfers. The desktop client permits TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 during network connections instead of requiring TLS 1.2; SanDisk has not identified the affected endpoint or function. Exploitation requires a network-path position and compromises transfer confidentiality and integrity, with no reported effect on stored vault encryption or availability.
