Authenticated read lockout via unauthorized prohibition setting
Published Feb 15, 2023 · Updated Jan 16, 2025
Improper access control in LS ELECTRIC XBC-DN32U OS 01.80 allows remote authenticated users to block reads from the PLC. The read-prohibition control accepts a remote state-changing request without enforcing sufficient authorization for that privileged operation. A low-privileged account and network access to the controller are required; successful use prevents legitimate users from reading PLC data.
