Privileged command execution via authenticated CLI injection
Published Feb 28, 2023 · Updated Mar 11, 2025
Command injection in the ArubaOS CLI allows remote authenticated users with administrative privileges to execute privileged OS commands. The CLI passes attacker-controlled command elements to the underlying operating system without adequate neutralization, although HPE has not disclosed the affected command or handler. Administrative CLI access is required; successful exploitation grants privileged command execution on the device.
