Unauthenticated account takeover via arbitrary password change
Published May 20, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Authorization bypass in WC Lovers WCFM Membership 2.10.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to change arbitrary user passwords. The membership-registration controller accepts a user-controlled account identifier and applies a supplied password without verifying authority over that account. No authentication is required, so targeting an administrator account enables site takeover.
