Authenticated code execution via unrestricted Twig filters
Published Jan 17, 2023 · Updated Mar 10, 2025
Code injection in Shopware Platform before 6.4.18.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through Twig filters. In Twig environments lacking Sandbox, map, filter, reduce, and sort accept a caller-supplied PHP function name and invoke it without an allowlist. Exploitation requires access to control a rendered Twig template; successful use runs PHP code with the application's privileges.
