Authenticated record disclosure via omitted canView checks
Published Apr 26, 2023 · Updated Jan 31, 2025
Missing authorization in Silverstripe Framework before 4.12.5 allows remote authenticated users to view restricted records through GridField printing. GridFieldPrintButton::generatePrintData iterates DataObjects and renders every row without calling each object's canView method. A content-author account with access to a GridField print view is required, and exploitation discloses only records that account cannot otherwise view.
