Stored XSS via unsanitized SVG upload
Published Mar 27, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in WPSoul Greenshift 4.9.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script via SVG upload. The plugin's SVG upload handling stores attacker-supplied SVG content without neutralizing embedded active script before a visitor's browser renders it. Author-level access is required to plant the payload, and another user's interaction triggers script execution in that site's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
