Plugin settings modification via missing nonce validation
Published Jul 10, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in BigContact Contact Page 1.5.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to update plugin settings via forged requests. The functions.php and saveForm.php handlers accept state-changing requests without valid nonce verification, allowing forged input to alter configuration. Exploitation requires an administrator with an active session to follow an attacker-controlled link or otherwise submit the forged request; the documented consequence is limited to plugin settings updates.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
