CVE-2023-22660Public exploit

Code execution via unchecked LayoutBox element length

Published Apr 5, 2023 · Updated Feb 10, 2025

Heap-based buffer overflow in Ichitaro 2022 1.0.1.57600 allows context-dependent attackers to execute code via a crafted JTD document. The JSTARO25.OCX LayoutBox parser uses an attacker-controlled 16-bit length to copy type 0x6003 data into a suspected 32-byte heap field without a matching bound. Exploitation requires a user to open the document and grants code execution in the application context.
