Unauthorized access via stale external-authentication tokens
Published Oct 16, 2024 · Updated Oct 16, 2024
Improper authentication in SUSE Rancher 2.7.0 through 2.7.13 and 2.8.0 through 2.8.4 lets remote authenticated users retain access. Rancher leaves external-authentication users active and their tokens usable after the configured provider deletes, disables, or revokes their accounts. An external authentication provider must be enabled; built-in user management is unaffected, while stale privileges remain usable in Rancher.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
