Man-in-the-middle compromise via unchecked server certificate

Improper certificate validation in Fortinet FortiAnalyzer and FortiManager allows remote attackers to compromise FortiGuard outbreak-alert traffic. The outbreakalert client accepts an untrusted server certificate when establishing its download channel to the remote FortiGuard service. Exploitation requires a man-in-the-middle network position and user interaction; successful attackers can read, alter, or disrupt downloaded outbreak-alert resources.
