CVE-2023-22641Network attack vector

Authenticated user redirection via crafted SSLVPN URL

Published Apr 11, 2023 · Updated Oct 22, 2024

Open redirect in Fortinet FortiOS and FortiProxy SSLVPNd allows remote authenticated users to redirect other users via crafted URLs. SSLVPNd accepts an attacker-controlled destination from a crafted URL and redirects the interacting user to an arbitrary website; Fortinet has not disclosed the handler or omitted validation. An authenticated session and user interaction are required, and the bounded consequence is navigation to attacker-chosen content rather than command execution on the appliance.
