CVE-2023-2260Network attack vector

Account administration via unchecked object identifiers

Published Apr 24, 2023 · Updated Feb 4, 2025

Authorization bypass in alf.io before 2.0-M4-2304 allows remote authenticated users to alter Backoffice users and organizations. Backoffice user and organization endpoints accept attacker-selected object identifiers, while manager methods perform mutations without verifying the caller's administrative scope or organization ownership. A Backoffice account is required; successful requests can create API keys or organizations, edit or disable users, and reset passwords outside the account's authorized scope.
