CVE-2023-22598Network attack vector

Root code execution via crafted configuration update

Published Jan 12, 2023 · Updated Jan 16, 2025

OS command injection in InHand Networks InRouter 302 and 615 firmware allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. Configuration-update processing passes attacker-controlled file content to operating-system commands without neutralizing command syntax. Reachability requires privileged access to either the router's local web interface or its cloud-management account, and successful exploitation fully compromises the device.
