Credential disclosure via unauthenticated configuration-file read
Published Apr 24, 2023 · Updated Mar 11, 2025
Information disclosure in CERN White Rabbit Switch 6.0.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to read device credentials over HTTP. The showfile.php endpoint passes unauthenticated query values to wrs_display_help(), whose dotconfig branch returns the entire kconfigfile without an authorization check. Network access to the web interface is sufficient to expose the root password hash and SNMP read/write community strings.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
