CVE-2023-2255Network attack vector

External content loading via unprompted Floating Frames

Published May 25, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Improper access control in LibreOffice 7.4 before 7.4.7 and 7.5 before 7.5.3 allows remote attackers to load external content. Floating Frame handling bypasses the update-link manager and fetches and displays an attacker-selected linked document when the host document opens. A recipient must open the crafted host document, after which the remote material loads without a permission prompt.
