CVE-2023-22524Network attack vector

Remote code execution via WebSocket blocklist bypass

Published Dec 6, 2023 · Updated Feb 25, 2026

Remote code execution in Atlassian Companion before 2.0.0 allows remote attackers to execute code through WebSocket messages on macOS. The WebSocket request path fails to enforce Companion's blocklist, allowing prohibited content to bypass macOS Gatekeeper and be launched. User interaction is required, and successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled code on the client.
