CVE-2023-2252Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrator file disclosure via unvalidated CSV path

Published Jan 16, 2024 · Updated Jun 2, 2025

Local file inclusion in wpWax Directorist before 7.5.4 allows remote authenticated users to read local files through CSV import. The administrative importer accepts the file parameter as a filesystem path without validation and parses the referenced file as CSV, placing its contents into imported listing fields. WordPress administrator access is required; the demonstrated request reads /etc/passwd on Linux and creates pending listings containing the file's lines.
